how much DocuSign actually costs.
DocuSign advertises a monthly number. The commitment is annual, the allowance is capped, and going over the cap is billed per document.
every figure on this page was read on a DocuSign page on August 16, 2026, in US dollars. the Personal and Standard prices and allowances were read again on August 26, 2026 and had not changed. the overage rates, the SMS and identity verification prices, and the annual commitment footnote were not re-checked that day, so they carry the August 16 reading. arithmetic is ours and is shown. prices change, so check the source before you rely on it.
the published prices
envelope is DocuSign's word for a document sent for signature. we call that a send. the per-document column is the annual commitment divided by what the year includes.
| who | price | what that includes | per document | source |

| sign — 25 sends | $29 once | 25 sends, never expire | $1.16 | this site |
| sign — 100 sends | $79 once | 100 sends, never expire | $0.79 | this site |
annual or monthly, and why the gap matters
The prices above are the annual ones. DocuSign shows a monthly figure with the annual commitment printed underneath it, so $11 a month reads as $132 owed for the year.
Their own footnote says you enroll in a full year of service and pay it in monthly installments. You can cancel within 30 days without penalty. After that you owe the remaining balance on the year, plus tax and any overage — ecom.docusign.com, checked August 16, 2026.
Month-to-month is offered as well. We could not read those figures on DocuSign's own pricing page, so this page does not print them.
what their support pages do show is that monthly billing costs more per extra document. Standard is $4.50 against $3, and Business Pro is $6.50 against $4.80 — support.docusign.com, checked August 16, 2026.
the allowance, and what going over it costs
Personal includes 5 envelopes per month. Standard and Business Pro include 100 envelopes per user per year — ecom.docusign.com, checked August 16, 2026, and the Personal and Standard allowances read again on August 26, 2026.
DocuSign's support pages describe what happens next. Usage above the allowance on Standard or Business Pro is billed pay-as-you-go, at a set fee per extra envelope. The same page says this does not apply to Personal — support.docusign.com, checked August 16, 2026.
| tier | per extra envelope, bought ahead | per extra envelope, pay-as-you-go |
|---|---|---|
| Standard, billed annually | $3 | $3.60 |
| Standard, billed monthly | $4.50 | $5.40 |
| Business Pro, billed annually | $4.80 | $5.80 |
| Business Pro, billed monthly | $6.50 | $7.80 |
| Personal | does not apply | does not apply |
source for the whole table: support.docusign.com, checked August 16, 2026. this number is worth sitting with. on Standard billed annually, the 101st document costs $3.60, the same as the 100 you already committed to.
per user, and how that multiplies
Standard is priced $30 per user per month, and Business Pro $45 per user per month. The 100-envelope allowance is also counted per user — ecom.docusign.com, checked August 16, 2026.
So a second person who needs to send doubles the commitment: $720 a year on Standard, $1,080 a year on Business Pro. That is our arithmetic on their published rates.
2 things are sold separately on top of that. SMS delivery starts at $0.36 per delivery, and identity verification at $2.40 per attempt — ecom.docusign.com, checked August 16, 2026.
a year of 2 to 15 documents a month
a single sender, all figures a total for 12 months. the DocuSign columns are our arithmetic on the 2 tables above. pay-as-you-go rates are used for anything over the allowance.
| documents | a year | DocuSign Personal | DocuSign Standard | sign |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 a month | 24 | $132 | $360 | $29, for 25 sends |
| 5 a month | 60 | $132 | $360 | $79, for 100 sends |
| 10 a month | 120 | over the allowance | $432 | $108, for 125 sends |
| 15 a month | 180 | over the allowance | $648 | $158, for 200 sends |
how the 2 harder rows work. at 120 documents, Standard is $360 plus 20 extra at $3.60, which is $432. at 180 documents it is $360 plus 80 extra at $3.60, which is $648. buying the extras ahead at $3 instead brings those to $420 and $600.
Personal is capped at 5 envelopes a month, and DocuSign says overage billing does not apply to it. the 10 and 15 rows therefore sit outside that tier.
the sign column buys packs: 100 sends is $79 and 25 sends is $29, so 120 documents is $108. sends left over do not expire, so nothing in that column resets in January.
the shape of the difference

$9 buys 5 sends, $29 buys 25, and $79 buys 100. There is no monthly fee, no per-user price, no renewal date, and no allowance to exceed. Sends never expire.
