what makes it binding
for most business documents, a typed signature is a signature under the federal ESIGN Act of 2000. UETA carries the same rule in the states that adopted it, and New York has its own statute instead.
what those laws ask for is intent, consent, attribution, and a record you can produce later.
every signed copy carries the signing record on its last page. it holds both names, both email addresses, both IP addresses, UTC timestamps, and a SHA-256 hash of the document as it was sent.
