send an NDA for signature.

Have a finished non-disclosure agreement and someone ready to sign? Upload it here to prepare a signing link.

Your first send is free after confirming your email. No card required. Each send covers 1 document to 1 signer.

This page is for sending an existing NDA, not drafting one or deciding whether its terms fit your situation.

check these before sending

the final agreed file

Use the version you intend to send, not a draft with unresolved comments. Check the filename and every page. Use a text-based PDF under 20 MB. Image-only scans cannot produce the required summary and cannot be sent. Word .docx files are converted into a new PDF layout; inspect that preview before sending.

the names in the NDA

Check that the document names the intended people or companies. Complete any details that belong in the document before uploading. Typing the signer's name into sign does not fill blank names, addresses, or company details inside your NDA.

the person receiving the signing link

Use the intended signer's name and email address, not a general inbox by habit. Check the address for typos. The emailed link grants access to the signing page; it does not independently verify the person's identity or authority to sign.

the signature and date positions

Inspect the suggested signature position in the PDF preview. Drag it onto the intended blank if needed. Add the optional date field where appropriate. A send places 1 signature field for 1 signer; it does not fill every signature blank.

any other signatures still needed

A mutual NDA may have signature spaces for both sides. This send collects 1 signer's signature, not every signature the document needs. sign does not automatically route the completed NDA to another signer or provide a built-in countersigning sequence.

write a useful invitation note

The optional note appears in the invitation email. State what the NDA is for and a real deadline, if there is one.

This is the NDA for our contractor project discussion. Could you review and sign by October 30, 2026? Reply if you have questions.

Example only: replace the purpose and date with yours. The note allows 200 characters; this example fits.

Sending this link does not restrict access to other files, a data room, or information you share separately.

what happens after upload

sign reads the NDA and prepares a plain-English summary. You preview the same summary the signer will see. Nothing sends before it is ready.

Check the full PDF, position the signature field, and enter the signer's details. Without an existing sender session, you confirm your address through an emailed link. Nothing goes to the signer before you confirm. Your email becomes your sender account, without a separate signup or password.

The signer opens the emailed link in a browser, without an account or app. They see the summary and the full NDA before signing. The summary describes the text; it is not legal advice or a replacement for reading the document.

After signing, both sides receive a signed-copy download link, not a PDF attachment. The PDF includes the signature and an appended signing record. Keep your own downloaded copy too.

questions about sending an NDA

can I sign it myself first?

The prepare page has a separate self-signing option. It uses no send, emails nobody, and lets you download the signed PDF. It is not a self-sign-then-send sequence on the same document record. If you need multiple signatures, this page does not offer that complete sequence.

does the summary confirm the NDA is suitable?

No. It explains what the text says, without recommending terms or a signing decision. For an example of that explanation, read the sample mutual NDA summary.

what does the signing record establish?

It records signer details, electronic-signature consent, signature method, and internet protocol (IP) address. Sending, opening, and signing timestamps use Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The SHA-256 document hash, a fingerprint calculated from the file's contents, identifies the PDF before signing. That hash alone does not authenticate the entire completed PDF.

what does it cost after the free send?

5 sends cost $9, 25 cost $29, and 100 cost $79, paid once. Sends never expire. Nothing renews monthly. Each send includes the summary, signing link, reminders, storage, and signed-copy download.
